Our Background
GNG Engine was born from a simple observation: there was no centralized platform showcasing the incredible talent of Australian college athletes. While universities have their own sports programs, there was no easy way for external organizations, scouts, or fans to discover and connect with these athletes.
We recognized that many talented athletes were flying under the radar, missing out on opportunities that could accelerate their careers. At the same time, organizations looking for talent were struggling to find the right people for their programs.
Today, GNG Engine serves as the premier platform for discovering Australian college athletes, helping bridge the gap between talent and opportunity across all sports and universities nationwide.
Founder Story
Lachlan Ming
I'm Lachlan Ming, and like so many Aussies, I came to the U.S. to chase my tennis dreams in college.
The transition was tough. New country, new system, new everything. But what really hit me was how disconnected I felt from other Australian athletes doing the same thing.
I'd scroll through social media seeing random highlights of Aussies killing it in different sports across different schools, but there was no way to follow their journeys or connect with them. No platform celebrating what we were achieving as a community.
That's when I realized we needed something built for us, by us.
I started GNG Engine because I believed every Australian athlete deserving to be seen, celebrated, and connected. We're scattered across hundreds of schools, but we share the same drive, the same pride, and the same Green and Gold spirit.
This platform isn't just about tracking results. It's about building the community I wish I'd had when I first arrived. It's about showing young athletes back home what's possible, and proving that distance doesn't break the bonds that tie us together.
GNG Engine is for every Aussie who's ever felt alone in a foreign gym, pool, or court. We're here to remind you that you're part of something special.
